The completely refurbished 5-star Baglioni Hotel Luna is situated on a quiet street just off the Piazza San Marco and on a small canal opposite the Royal Gardens. A private berth allows gondolas and water taxis to pull up to the entrance of the hotel. Marco Polo Tessera Airport is 40 minutes by water taxi, directly to the hotel landing. On the site of what has been a hotel since the Middle Ages, it dates from 1118 as the former home of the Templar Knights, while living in the "Serenissima" Republic and later as "Locanda della Luna" since 1574. The present building has been completely refurbished both inside and outside.

The hotel’s 91 air-conditioned rooms and suites are traditionally decorated with original period-style furniture, fabric-covered walls and chandeliers. Some have balustraded terraces with views over either the side canal or the Grand Canal. Guestrooms feature safe deposit boxes, satellite television, radio, minibar and telephones. Bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers, plush towels, shaving mirror, telephone and ACQUA D PARMA bath amenities.
