Built in 1912 as Antonietta Lauro’s seaside mansion, Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento is a five-star lifestyle retreat where heritage and contemporary design meet. Reimagined by Italian architect Manuela Mannino (THDP), the hotel blends Mediterranean elegance with sculptural Italian furnishings, local craftsmanship, and views that stretch across the Bay of Naples.

Days at the Mediterraneo unfold with lively, modern ritual: yoga among lemon trees, music by the pool, pizza-making demonstrations, and aperitivo rituals at Vista Skybar & Dining, Sorrento’s first and most iconic seafront rooftop. Fine dining at Vesuvio Panoramic Restaurant celebrates Campania’s culinary heritage, paired with a curated selection of Italian wines.

From 2025, the hotel expands its cultural program with artisan workshops - sandal-making, mozzarella, fine wine and seasonal cooking - enriching its identity as a contemporary coastal home with a vibrant spirit. Sorrento is waiting for you, the famous and sought-after destination for high-class tourism since the eighteenth century, when it was included in the Grand Tour, the journey undertaken by young aristocrats in the various European countries to complete their education.

However, its history is much older, dating back to the Roman era, as evidenced by the ruins of the Villa di Pollione, the secret beach of Regina Giovanna, or the nearby Herculaneum and Pompeii, that you can easily get to and visit.
