Palazzo Avino, an elegant hilltop hotel created with style and panache from a 12th century villa, is one of the most desirable places to stay on the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.The hotel sits on the cliffs some 1,000 feet above the surrounding coastline in the charming medieval village of Ravello. Originally built in the 12th century and tastefully refurbished to deluxe standards, this authentic, architectural masterpiece offers 43 air-conditioned bedrooms and suites, most of which have exclusive Jacuzzi baths and unique sea views.

Palazzo Avino has been recently restored to luxurious standards retaining many of its original Mediaeval and Baroque features.Most of the furniture is from the 18th and 19th century.Today Palazzo Avino is frequented by the famous such as Placido Domingo who was the very first guest at the hotel as well as Gore Vidal, the noted American author who now resides in Ravello and is a regular guest at Rossellinis, the hotel';s fine dining restaurant.

The rooftop features a magnificent sun terrace with hydromassage plunge pools, and the outdoor swimming pool and it terraces enjoy stunning views over the coast. The property boasts a serene outdoor gym and a full service spa complete with sauna, steam bath and hydotherapy pool. One of the most popular attractions at the hotel is its new private "Clubhouse by the Sea" beach club located at the foot of the mountain only 15 minutes from the hotel by way of a complimentary shuttle service. Palazzo Avino is the only hotel in Ravello to offer a beach club, which includes sunbathing platforms, an outdoor pool, a restaurant featuring fresh catch of the day and best of all access to the brilliant blue Mediterranean waters.
