A Los Cabos boutique hotel like no other. Imagine a side of Los Cabos you never knew existed, where the soul willingly surrenders to el sol. It’s a fresh and vibrant approach to Los Cabos luxury—a singular beachfront retreat commanding a contour of the cape where every room and vantage point overlooks El Arco and the Bahia Cabo San Lucas horizon. Intuitively interwoven within the natural landscape surrounding the Monuments Beach point break, The Cape is a place to revel in the heat of the moment. The clean, contemporary lines of visionary Mexico City architect Javier Sanchez converge in a relaxed 1960s Southern California-meets-Baja aesthetic at this luxury boutique hotel. Two pools and a duo of outdoor spa cabanas seemingly spring from the natural rock formations, while the only rooftop lounge in Cabo San Lucas floats six stories above. Set to the pulse of an urban vibe by night, the warm designs by Arquitectura de Interiores’ Marisabel Gómez Vázquez ultimately draw you in, revealing a reflection of Los Cabos like no other.
The Cape, A Thompson Hotel
A Thompson hotel. Rialto is a Hyatt Privé agency: book this hotel direct at the VIP rate for benefits that can include priority room upgrades, hotel credits, and more.
With its bold, modern lines and minimalist decor, The Cape brings an urban edge to Baja California Sur. The hotel's design makes brilliant use of its natural setting on Monuments Beach, providing each of the 157 rooms and villas a view of Cabo’s iconic El Arco. Dark paneling, sleek furnishings, copper-leafed bathtubs, and vintage photography add to the coolness factor, as does the spa's black-on-black theme, ensuring the only stimulus is the crashing of waves. Manta restaurant by Enrique Olvera is inspired by cuisine from Mexico, Peru, and Japan with a distinct Baja sensibility; a hip vibe hits the rooftop patio after dark.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does booking through Rialto cost more than booking with the hotel?
No - VIP rates under Hyatt Privé always meet or beat hotel's public, flexible rate, and provide valuable amenities and possible upgrades. Rialto also provides the hotel's non-VIP and corporate rates, so you can compare with full transparency.
Can my AI assistant book this hotel?
Yes. Connect Rialto to Claude or ChatGPT with our AI hotel booking MCP server and ask for rates. You finish the booking instantly on a secure Rialto page, direct with the hotel. Card details are not sent through the AI chat, so either you would approve the final checkout step and reconfirm all the information, or if you authorize your agent with Computer-Use permissions, it can fill out the checkout form as well.
What is the value of the VIP benefits?
Daily breakfast for two plus the $50–100 hotel credit come with every stay at this hotel - adding $100-200/day in value. A room upgrade could also be worth a substantial amount, in addition to early check-in / late check-out benefits when available.
Do I earn World of Hyatt points and keep my elite benefits? Is this considered a direct booking or a third-party booking?
Yes. The booking is a direct reservation with the hotel, so it earns World of Hyatt points and elite-night credit, and World of Hyatt elite status benefits apply. Hyatt Privé rates can also be combined with World of Hyatt Suite Upgrade Awards and Guest of Honor bookings.
What room types does The Cape, A Thompson Hotel offer?
The Cape, A Thompson Hotel lists Deluxe King Room, Partial Ocean View, Deluxe Queen Room, Partial Ocean View, King Room, Ocean View, Queen Room, Ocean View, Deluxe King Room, Ocean View, Junior Suite, Ocean View and 9 more. Sizes and bed options for each are in the rooms table above.
How does this compare to other programs, like through AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, or Chase Edit?
Using a hotel's own VIP program may provide higher upgrade priority, additional VIP benefits and promotional rate offers, and a direct relationship with the hotel for special requests. Rialto offers more VIP hotels than any credit card program. In addition, Chase Edit rates can be substantially more expensive as they rarely run promotions whereas AMEX rates are often comparable but do not offer programs such as Upgrade at Booking.
