1Louis XVI (Signature Room)

Louis XVI features neoclassical lines from the French perspective. The room uses lighter and more feminine colors - pale blues and creams - while remaining ornate with much gilding. The room features hand-painted leaf and ribbon designs copied from a chateau in Normandy, and stunning crystal chandeliers.

2Renaissance (Signature Room)

The Renaissance room has a spectacular marbled bath complete with sunken tub surrounded by columns and featuring a screen that depicts a scene from ancient Rome. Trims of gold on the double vanity, an oversized walk-in shower, private toilet and bidet room, and a light makeup vanity complete the luxurious bathroom.

3Regency (Signature Room)

Regency, truly fit for a king or queen, is entered from an exterior entrance overlooking the mansion’s lawn, gardens, and the Atlantic Ocean. The personality of the room is quite formal, with furnishings reminiscent of French and English royalty.

4English Tudor (Signature Room)

English Tudor is one of our larger suites that boasts beautifully carved woodwork with traditional linen-fold oak panels and handcrafted stucco walls. Perhaps our most masculine room, the huge canopied four-poster king bed sits on a raised platform floor of antique wide-planked oak.

5Georgian (Estate Room)

Georgian features a green-medallioned marble foyer which leads guests into a room with a lighter look that was prevalent in the late 18th century, the "Golden Age" of English furniture.

6Empire (Estate Room)

The Empire is decorated in an opulent style that originated in France under Napoleon and was characterized by the use of imperial Roman ornamentation and decoration. The junior suite is divided into two distinct areas, a living room area and bedroom.

7Mediterranean (Estate Room)

Mediterranean is a two-room suite with classic stucco walls where guests enter through an arched foyer into the living room.

8Moroccan (Estate Room)

Moroccan is The Chanler’s newest guest room, renovated to reflect the exotic and colorful style of Morocco’s rich design history.

9Peonies & Ivy (Garden Viila)

Peonies and Ivy is a garden villa that features a paneled bed with hand-painted trim of peonies and ivy, a built in corner fireplace, delicately painted furniture and pine-paneled walls and ceiling. The queen bed is hung with an exquisite sheer fabric, bordered with lace.

10Victorian (Manor Room)

Victorian features a queen-sized antique Victorian bed, oversized bathroom with an antique stained glass centerpiece, pedestal sink, separate large shower and double Jacuzzi, from which the expansive front lawn and gardens can be viewed through a large double window.

11Williamsburg (Manor Room)

Williamsburg’s style stems from post-Revolutionary America. Its décor is reminiscent of that of the grander homes in Virginia, like Washington's Mount Vernon. Furnishings include a Chinese Chippendale queen-sized bed with bed hangings in a Colonial Williamsburg floral print of red, white and blue.

12Greek Revival (Manor Room)

Greek Revival features rich clay, gold and ochre colors. Greek dentil molding and a swag border complete with a traditional torch design surround the walls of the ocean-view room.

13French Provincial (Manor Room)

Typical of the French countryside, French Provincial is a two-level room. The bathroom, highlighted by hand-hewn blue tiles, an exquisite hand-painted pedestal sink, oversized separate shower and large Jacuzzi tub overlooking the ocean, is entered from the lower level foyer.

14Colonial (Manor Room)

Colonial features an exterior entrance on the first floor of the hotel, and provides a semi private deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and The Chanler’s lush lawns and gardens. The room's personality is characteristic of the styles prevalent in the thirteen original British colonies.

15Federal (Manor Room)

Federal takes its décor from the patriotic period in American history after the Revolutionary war, when Europe was under the rule of Napoleon, and the influence of the French Empire style is also evident.

16Martha's Vineyard (Ocean Villa)

Martha’s Vineyard is one of our most popular ocean villas. The large tumbled-marble bathroom boasts a sunken wet room with Jacuzzi and an open shower with multiple jets, and features a hand-painted tile trompe l'oeil mural of an ocean scene. An antique stained glass skylight shines from above.

17Block Island (Ocean Villa)

Block Island ocean villa brings you into the private, shuttered, and fountained courtyard with sauna and outdoor hot tub spa. Fashioned after the famous island for which it is named, this villa focuses on natural beauty, ocean view and rural country style.

18Nantucket (Ocean Villa)

Nantucket ocean villa is decorated in antique pine complemented by nautical pieces evocative of its namesake whaling town. The bedroom features a king bed atop a wide-planked, antique pumpkin-toned wood floor, walls trimmed with ships lathe paneling, a tongue and groove wood-paneled ceiling, and hand-milled fireplace.

19Briar Rose (Garden Villa)

Briar Rose features a private lawn and rose garden within its own courtyard. A stone deck, outdoor hot tub spa, and private veranda round out the outdoor quarters of Briar Rose. The cozy bedroom is decorated in a floral damask of teal and pink with cabbage roses.

20English Trellis (Garden Villa)

English Trellis takes its name from the fixtures used to decorate the sumptuous marbled bath, which includes a large two-person corner Jacuzzi featuring hand-painted tilework. English Trellis is our only room to include two queen-sized full-canopied iron beds.
