There's the rustic Log Cabin, with its river-rock fireplace; the Treehouse Cottage, with its Adirondack twig accents; and the surprising Meadow Cottage, decorated in vibrant Moroccan style. Outdoor activities range from hiking, biking, and fly-fishing to snowshoeing, sledding, and downhill and cross-country skiing. Golf, gallery hopping, and shopping in Woodstock are all nearby.

A country estate, located in Barnard, ten miles north of picturesque Woodstock, rests on 300 acres of rolling hills, meadows, orchards, gardens, woods and ponds in central Vermont. The original 1795 farm house has been transformed into gracious living and dining rooms plus four elegant guest suites.Surrounding this core are finely detailed guest cottages, a handsome pub, Bridge House Spa, fitness center and a separate building housing a Japanese furo.Guests enjoy excellent cuisine, fine wines and four seasons of recreation all included in the rates. Outdoor activities on site include downhill skiing (six private ski trails), cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow-trekking, ice-skating and tobogganing in winter: canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, tennis, cyclingand croquet in other months. For golfers, there is the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course a few minutes away at the Woodstock Country Club plus 2 Championship courses in nearby Quechee. Proud member of Relais and Chateaux.

1Main House Rooms (Red's & Guest)
Red's Room was the original master bedroom of the Main House and is decorated in rich shades of blue, a king bed and slate trimmed wood-burning fireplace. One-of-a-kind touches include an antique claw foot tub, antique writing desk, needlepoint rug and southerly mountain views.
2Main House Rooms (Washington & Dorothy)
Washington's room provides a haven of Americana on the first floor of the Main House. The living room and separate bedroom boast vintage flags, portraits of George Washington, folk art as well as a wood-burning fireplace in each. · Dorothy's room is located on the second floor of the Main House.
3Farmhouse at Copper Hill
Designed by famed architect Peter Bohlin, the Farmhouse at Copper Hill boasts four suites each with spacious sitting and sleeping areas, two wood-burning fireplaces, large dressing and bathrooms, deep soaking tubs, porches and views of Copper Pond.
4Cottages
Barn Cottage - A Swedish-inspired cottage with a massive stone fireplace, living room, loft, and porch. · Log Cabin - Enveloped in a pine forest, this authentic log cabin offers unparalled seclusion.
5Aviary
Nestled in woodland, this two-story glass, stone and Douglas fir timbers cottage is purely contemporary. Massive floor-to-ceiling glass walls along with rich, wood interiors display artwork depicting birds. In the bedroom, a stone hot tub is sunken into the floor before an immense wood-burning fireplace.
6Studio
Contemporary art and furnishings accent this art lovers cottage with cathedral ceiling, two wood-burning fireplaces, loft bedroom, cozy reading nook, huge copper tub, balcony and attached porch with a hot tub surrounded by fieldstone and a large picture window.
7Treehouses
The newest addition to Twin Farms, our eight Treehouses conjure up childhood memories of adventure, companionship, and independence.
Villas
8Chalet
The largest of the cottages, Chalet is a blend of opulence and alpine rusticity. Enormous windows provide unparalled views of the mountains and oversized, plush furnishings face the floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace. The attached porch features a granite hot tub for soaking year round.
9The Lodge (two-bedroom cottage)
The Lodge · The Lodge, located adjacent to the Main House, is our only two-bedroom cottage and sold exclusively as such. It offers a spacious and inviting layout. At its center is a generous common living room—ideal for gathering—complete with a half bath.
