Surrounded by stunning scenery and pristine geography, the lodge’s contemporary design and comfort integrates with the natural environment. Its architectural concept is closely linked to a special place positioned starkly between water, mountains and sky.
The three-storey lodge offers 17 lake-view rooms facing Taquile and Amantani islands to the north; the Bolivian Cordillera Real to the East and Lake Titicaca stretching from East to West. At the northern tip of the peninsula lies the dock, departure point for both local and our excursion boats.
Titilaka’s contemporary menu offers a unique take on Peruvian cuisine, with a special emphasis on Andean ingredients. Our executive Chef, María Fé Garcia, was inspired by the ethereal beauty of Titicaca, creating a menu that is nutritious and filling, but also light.
The lodge is a gateway to an unspoiled part of the Lake that offers a magical blend of spectacular mountain landscapes, Inca and pre-Inca ruins, ancient trails, and vibrant indigenous villages where families still hand-weave colourful folkloric textiles. Often described as mystical, the surrounding area is home to numerous Aymara and Quechua communities for whom Spanish is a second language and where Andean creation myths centred around the lake remain part of local custom and everyday life.
The lodge’s fully-inclusive service includes all meals and more than a dozen complimentary, flexible itineraries led by our bilingual local expert guides – visits to picturesque markets, weavers’ homes, millenarian hikes, exclusive excursions to private parts of the Taquile and Amantani islands, mountain biking, birdwatching, road trips, visits to archaeological sites, and excursions into Bolivia. Titilaka also has its own boathouse, equipped with sailboats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for guests’ exclusive use.
